Online marketplace, IndiaMART, which has been so far focusing on SME customers, will now look at catering to bigger brands’ sourcing and selling requirements. The company, which recently touched the 1 lakh premium customer mark on its online platform, is aiming to touch Rs 2,000-crore revenue by 2020.
Dinesh Agarwal, Founder & CEO, IndiaMART, said, “We have a recalibrated strategy to enhance focus on the big businesses. This will lend a fillip to our vision of IndiaMart 2.0 wherein we are looking at a net revenue of Rs 365 crore this year ...and take it to Rs 2,000 crore in 2020.”
He said since April 2014, the paid customers’ size has seen nearly twin-fold rise.
The company expects nearly half of its revenues by 2020 to come from big businesses. The company has identified nearly 10,000 big companies that it will be targeting under this programme.
