The Infosys employee, who went missing post the Brussels attacks, has been confirmed dead.
The news of Raghavendran Ganeshan, a techie working in Belgium, was confirmed by Manjeev Singh Puri, India’s Ambassador to Belgium and the EU, in various media reports.
“Our deepest condolences to the family of Raghavendran Ganeshan and we pray for all the members of the family,” he said.
The Belgian authorities identified Raghavendran as a victim, and his remains will soon be handed over to his parents and brother, who are currently in Brussels.
Infosys in a statement said: “It is with deep regret that we confirm the passing of our colleague Raghavendran Ganeshan in the terrible attack in Brussels.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with Raghavendran’s family and with those who were injured or lost a loved one in these attacks. We will continue to provide all possible support to his family in this hour of grief.”
