Infosys has announced the launch of ‘India in a Box’, a new solution for its Japanese clients that is based on industry-standard Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
The pre-packaged solution tailored for the Indian market and addressing issues such as local taxation and accounting, will enable Japanese companies to jumpstart business operations in India in a shorter time period by moving to a robust IT infrastructure in eight weeks.
Learning to navigate in the complicated Indian market place was often a time-consuming task that could take years. The new Infosys product could reduce this to weeks, Tomoyuki Nakanishi, Group Senior Manager, Dynamics Product Group, Microsoft Japan said.
V Sriram, head, Infosys Ltd, Japan said one of the biggest issues facing Japanese companies entering the Indian marketplace was the rocky interface between the new location and the Tokyo headquarters. ‘India in a Box’ could help firms establish an interface with ERP in the home office.
The key functionalities of the new product include financial, supply chain, production, employee and customer management.
