Infosys Technologies on Saturday said the global economic environment was still ‘negative' and that it was necessary to be prepared for any eventualities. “It is a very difficult environment and it is better to be prepared. We feel the environment is very negative and it is better to set right expectations,” Infosys Co-Chairman, Mr Kris Gopalakrishnan told newspersons on the sidelines of an event organised by HDFC Bank.
He said it was too early to give an outlook for IT companies but by January-February next year, the situation should become clear. The Infosys honcho said the company would set up its second campus in Bangalore soon and is planning to set up campuses in Kolkata and Indore as well. “We are looking at locations where there is good availability of talent pool,” he said.
