Infotech Enterprises Limited has rebranded itself as Cyient Limited following the approval from shareholders, its Executive Chairman and founder BVR Mohan Reddy said on Wednesday.
“We are now Cyient. This new brand identity is an important step in positioning us as a distinctively unique global company that represents our vision and our forward-looking initiatives,” Reddy told reporters here.
The company, which reported a 17.8 percent increase in 2014 revenue, recently named Krishna Bodanapu, former president and chief operating officer, as chief executive officer and managing director.
“Our goal was to further establish the company’s identity as the industry leader we have become over the last 20 years,” Reddy said.
Krishna Bodanapu said “Cyient has connotations to the words ‘client’ and ‘science’ — two important components in our company’s success — and ‘ient’ refers to Infotech Enterprises, our foundation and continuity“.
Replying to a query, Reddy, without giving a time frame, said the firm is poised to become a billion dollar company in the next few years.
Earlier in 2012, Reddy said the company aims to clock billion dollar revenues by 2016.
