Computer chips manufacturer Intel has appointed Kumud Srinivasan as President, India operations.
She succeeds Praveen Vishakantaiah who is relocating to the US as the General Manager of Client Solutions and Technology Group in the PC Client Group for Intel, the company said in a statement.
Kumud Srinivasan has been with Intel for over 25 years holding several business and information systems positions within the company’s manufacturing and information technology verticals.
She was Vice-President and General Manager of IT for Silicon Software and Services and also led Intel’s internal full-service consulting practice.
“Today Intel India is a major design site for Intel and is one of the fastest-growing emerging markets powering our growth. We will continue to innovate in order to continue transforming people’s lives through technology,” she said.
Kumud Srinivasan has done her bachelor’s degree in economics from Calcutta University in 1981 and master's degree in information and library studies from Syracuse University in 1984.
With over 3,500 people, India is Intel’s largest non-manufacturing site outside the US.
