Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, founder of Isha Foundation, has asked the IT industry to invest in ignorance — or, in things they don’t know — to explore new frontiers.
Talking about ‘Intelligence of Ignorance’ at the curtain-raiser session of Nasscom’s India Leadership Forum (NILF) and World Congress on IT (WCIT) here on Monday, he said: “Invest in something that doesn’t give you returns tomorrow morning but show results in the long term. Invest in ignorance, in things that you don’t know.”
It is quite common to repeat whatever one had been doing, observed the guru. “Your investment in the IT industry is not information but intelligence,” he said.
“When you know you are ignorant then you pay more attention to everything and the more you realise you do not know anything. When you are conscious of your ignorance then intelligence stands up.”
