The iPad Air, Apple’s fifth generation tablet personal computer, would be available in India from December 7.
The company’s authorised retailers — Ingram Micro and Redington India – would offer the tablets in India. Ingram Micro would supply the gadget to large format retails and organised retailers, Redington on the other hand would supply them to general traders.
The 16 GB iPad Air (WiFi model) is being priced at Rs 35,900 and it would be available in silver and space grey. The iPad mini with retina display (16 GB WiFi) is priced at Rs 28,900, Ingram Micro said in a statement.
A top official at Redington India confirmed that the company would also be offering the tablets from the launch date.
Apple had launched iPad Air on November 1. The latest generation tablet, that comes with a 9.7-inch Retina (an Apple technology) display and weighing 453 grams, is 20 per cent thinner and 28 per cent lighter than the fourth generation iPads.
