Mr B. Suresh Babu, Additional Commissioner at Commissionerate of Industries, has said the cloud computing market is expected to grow to $241 billion in 2020, against $40.7 in 2010.

Addressing a seminar on ‘SMB Xpress Cloud Solution – Make IT work for your business' here on Saturday, he asked partners in the programme to work for a public-private initiative to help out more small and medium businesses.

Cloud is an IT infrastructure and applications offered over the Internet so that companies could source those services without spending much. They could pay per use without having to bother for maintenance.

He said they could benefit from IT solutions without spending much on them.

The SMB initiative was started by Intel in association with Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (Fapcci), to reach out to its member companies and businesses.

Representatives from anti-virus solutions company — QuickHeal, Syscon and Mobilistic Innovative Business Solutions (MIBS) — presented their solutions to FAPCCI members.
