ITsAP, the IT and IT-enabled services industry association of Andhra Pradesh, has asked the State Government to take measures to ensure flow of IT investments into tier-II cities and create electronic infrastructure to support the growth of IT in the state.

V. Rajanna, President of ITsAP, has submitted a 10-point roadmap to Information Technology Minister P. Lakshmaiah here on Thursday. The roadmap suggested the Government to ensure more efficient and highly responsive clearance procedure.

“They asked us to leverage and follow-up with potential investors. They also wanted us to lead delegations to meet decision makers in companies that showed interest in investing in the state,” Lakshmaiah said after meeting the ITsAP delegation.

“They studied the situation extensively and came up with recommendations. We will go through the suggestions and implement them in order to make the state as an attractive destination for the IT industry,” he said.

He said that there were certain issues that needed to be brought to the notice of the Central Government. “This includes the cap of 20 per cent in human resources migration in special economic zones and increasing the air connectivity to Europe and North America. We will talk to the relevant ministries in the Union Government,” the Minister said.
