A Special Court, hearing the 2G spectrum case, on Monday permitted DMK MP Ms Kanimozhi, an accused in the case, to attend the ongoing Budget Session of Parliament. The CBI did not raise any objection to the plea of Ms Kanimozhi, a Rajya Sabha MP, to the court to allow her to attend the session.

However, the Special Court said her counsel should be present in the court during the court proceedings and participate in it. The Delhi High Court had last November granted bail to Ms Kanimozhi. She was lodged in Tihar jail for over six months after her arrest in May last year.
