Union Minister for Human Resource and Telecom Kapil Sibal took part in the function to launch the Kerala pavilion at Gitex Technology Week 2012 in Dubai.
Earlier, Sanjay Verma, Consul General of India in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), declared open the pavilion.
M. K. Lokesh, Indian ambassador to the UAE, accompanied the Union Minister to the pavilion.
STATE DELEGATION
Gitex Technology Week 2012 is being held at the Dubai International Exhibition and Convention Centre until October 18, 2012.
P. H. Kurian, principal secretary-IT, is leading a State Government delegation at the event.
Other members on the team are Girish Babu, chief executive officer, and M. Vasudevan, senior business development manager, Technopark; Vijayakumar, special secretary to Minister for IT; and representatives of IT companies from Technopark-Thiruvananthapuram and Infopark-Kochi.
SHOWCASING INFRA
The Kerala stall admeasures to 54 sq-metre in size and is located between the Indian, US and Chinese pavilions at the venue.
Over the next few days, the State will showcase its IT park infrastructure, including the Technocity, the Kollam Technopark and Infopark-Cherthala and the Kinfra High Tech Park.
The State delegation will also hold discussion with compatriots from governments and companies of other countries as well.
