Security company Kaspersky Lab has announced Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 for Windows. Anouncing the launch, Mr Alexander Lebedev, Head of Product messaging and Deliverables, Kaspersky Lab - Moscow, said the product's efficiency had been proven by tests conducted by AV-Test.org, an independent German research centre. He said that malware signature update sizes had been reduced, which would help companies cut down on bandwidth costs associated with virus signature downloads. Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 manages this by connecting to Kaspersky Security Network, Kaspersky's cloud-based threat detection database. It also supports VMware's virtual machines.
