KPIT Cummins has appointed Toshimi Yamanoi as Vice-President-Automotive Technology.
Based in Tokyo, he joins KPIT Cummins from Nissan, where he was the General Manager-Technical Planning Department at the Nissan Technology Development Division.
He will focus on strengthening and streamlining KPIT Cummins’ offerings for automotive OEMs.
Yamanoi brings in more than 30 years of experience in the automotive industry and has vehicle safety technology as his core area of expertise.
He serves as the Chairman of the Vehicle Safety Committee of Japanese Auto Manufacturers' Association and has been awarded the Special Safety Award by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) in US DoT (Department of Transportation) at the Enhanced Safety Vehicle Conference in Japan.
