Lenovo, that recently launched its phones in India, will come up with exclusive apps (applications) for its phone users in the country.
“We are in talks with certain app developers in areas such as education and entertainment. We will be launching India-specific apps soon,” S.S. Bassi, who heads the smart-phone business unit at Lenovo in India, said.
All the five smart-phones in the Lenovo range works on Android platform.
Addressing a press conference here to launch the phone range in the South on Thursday, he said the company has set up 100 service centres across the country to address the requirements of its phone users.
Though a very late entrant to the mobile handset market, Lenovo said it expected to make inroads into the (smartphone) segment that was expected to double to 36 million next year from the existing 18 million.
