Lycos, the digital marketing and services company, has posted consolidated revenue of Rs 588.52 crore in the quarter ended September 30, 2016, reporting a growth of 10.66 per cent in the same quarter last year.
The profit after tax (PAT) stood at Rs 106.20 crore, which remained flat with a marginal growth of 0.99 per cent over PAT in the same quarter last year. The consolidated earnings per share (EPS) at Rs 2.23 during the quarter, Suresh Reddy, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Lycos, has said.
The firm registered revenues of Rs 473 crore from its Digital Marketing segment in the quarter, an increase of 3.23 per cent year on year. Revenue from Software Development segment stood at Rs 115 crore, an increase of 8 per cent year on year.
Lycos, the first generation Internet search engines, was bought by the Hyderabad-based Ybrant Digital. The latter firm changed its name to Lycos to cash in on its recall value in the Western markets.
