Mahindra Satyam said on Monday that its business process outsourcing arm Mahindra Satyam BPO has renewed its contract with NAVTEQ, a Chicago based global provider of digital map data, for a period of two more years.
“The renewal of the contract for a further period of two years shows NAVTEQ’s confidence in our organisation,” Mahindra Satyam BPO CEO, Mr Vijay Rangineni, said in a statement.
“In 2004, we started by handling two of the customer’s processes. Over time, we have strengthened our relationship by handling various distinct and complex processes for the customer,” he added.
Mahindra Satyam BPO currently provides services like geospatial software applications and modelling along with data support services to NAVTEQ.
“The renewal of the contract was a logical extension. We are excited about the possibilities that lie ahead and are confident that our engagement with NAVTEQ will continue to be a strategic business relationship,” Mr Rangineni said.
According to the statement Mahindra Satyam BPO’s abilities to handle multiple projects across geographies and consistently enhance productivity were cited as the main reasons by NAVTEQ to renew the contract.
“Mahindra Satyam BPO has always displayed initiative and enthusiasm to support the complex processes required in the creation and updates of NAVTEQ’s digital maps,” NAVTEQ Vice President of Global Production Operations, Mr Luther Siebert, said.
“They have played an important role in helping NAVTEQ provide best—in—class geospatial services to its customers globally,” Mr Siebert said.
