Mahindra Satyam has joined the GENIVI Alliance, an automotive and consumer electronics industry association which works for development and adoption of an open In-vehicle Infotainment (IVI) reference platform.
This platform supports vehicle infotainment applications such as music, news and multimedia, navigation and location services, telephony, Internet services and more, Mr Graham Smethurst, President of GENIVI, said here in a press release.
“Mahindra Satyam will leverage GENIVI specifications and implementation guidelines to develop Infotainment solutions to automotive manufacturers. This will reduce development costs and time to market,” Mr Karthikeyan Natarajan, Global Head and Vice-President (Integrated Engineering Services) of Mahindra Satyam, said.
