Bahrain-based telecom firm Menatelecom has awarded WiMAX managed services contracts to Tech Mahindra and Huawei Technologies for the year 2012-2013.
However, the size of the deal has not been disclosed.
Tech Mahindra and Huawei Technologies will help to further enhance and manage Menatelecom’s WiMAX 16e network and ensure that Menatelecom continues to provide the most powerful internet packages to both enterprise and residential customers across Bahrain, the company said.
Tech Mahindra Vice President MEA SAARC Sales and Alliances, Mr Krishna Gopal said, “We are delighted to have been chosen by Menatelecom as its Managed Services and IT Transformation partner. It’s a vindication of our investment in the emerging markets and our deep experience of working with operators in this region.”
Tech Mahindra is a part of the $12.5 billion Mahindra Group and a leading provider of solutions and services to the telecommunications industry with a majority stake owned by Mahindra & Mahindra, in partnership with British Telecommunications plc.
