Microsoft India has been adjudged the ‘Most attractive employer' for the second year running, in a survey conducted by HR services company Randstad.
The Randstad Award 2012 ranked Oracle and TCS second and third, respectively.
The Indian leg of the Randstad Award survey was conducted online, with a sample of 8,500 people representative of the population, across cities. Employees from 150 companies with at least 1,000 employees each were part of this set. Research firm ICMA International conducted the study.
Speaking to reporters, Mr Brian Wilkinson, Executive Board Member and Chairman for India, Randstad, said, “Surveys can be manipulated, and there are several employer surveys in the market. But we believe this presents the real perception among employees, as it is a selection by the public, and not a company-nominated sample.” Among the top five factors affecting choice of employers, long-term job security and financial health of the company were cited as the most important by respondents (64 per cent each). On the same list, career progression (50 per cent) was followed by ‘competitive salary and employee benefit' (41 per cent).
