Microsoft India has been adjudged by HR services company Randstad as the 'Most attractive employer' for the second year running.

The Randstad Award 2012 ranked Oracle and Tata Consultancy Services second and third, respectively.

The Indian leg of the Randstad Award survey was conducted among 8,500 employees from 150 employers with over 1,000 employees each. Research firm ICMA International conducted the study.

Job security scores over CTC

Long-term job security and the financial health of the company were cited as the most important factors affecting choice of employers by respondents (64 per cent each).

On the same chart, career progression (50 per cent) was followed by ‘competitive salary and employee benefit’ (41 per cent).

Salary and benefits was cited as the most important factor in the 2011 edition of the survey, and has dropped 14 per cent since then.

Long-term job security as a factor affecting choice has risen 43 per cent since last year, while financial health of the company rose 34 per cent.

The Randstad Award was instituted in 2000, and is now conducted in 15 countries. This is the second edition of the award in India.
