Microsoft has announced the launch of the Microsoft Accelerator for Windows Azure (India).
Under the programme, Microsoft will host 10 early-stage start-ups onsite for four months and help them to create businesses that leverage the cloud.
A release from the company said that selected start-ups will also have access to the resources of Microsoft’s BizSpark programme and $60,000 in Azure credit.
The start-ups will also get mentorship from successful entrepreneurs and venture capitalists.
“Microsoft is partnering with mentors to provide start-ups with the support they need to innovate and become successful businesses. The success of this programme will be measured by the success of these start-ups. Microsoft will have no stake in these companies,” said Mr Amit Chatterjee, Managing Director, Microsoft India (R&D) Pvt Ltd.
