Mindlogicx, which is being merged with the Hyderabad-based SQL Star, has bagged a six-year Rs 72-crore education ERP deal from Saurashtra University. The Bangalore-headquartered education technology service provider will automate the entire examination processes of the university that has 2.75 lakh students on its rolls in 320 colleges in Gujarat. In July, Mindlogicx had deployed the examination management system at Visvesvarya Technological University in Belgaum in Karnataka.
The University has around 2.4 lakh students and about 200 colleges spread across Karnataka and one in Mauritius. “We are in talks with a few large educational institutions to deploy its technology solutions, besides launching cloud-based delivery for select clients,” Suresh Elangovan, Chief Executive Officer of Mindlogicx, said in a press release. It would provide secured delivery of Question Paper to avoid question paper leakage, digital valuation of hand written answer scripts to avoid any scams during evaluation. It would also check against faking of mark sheets.
Merger with SQL Star: Meanwhile, Mindlogicx and SQL Star International awaited the go-ahead from the BSE for merger. After the merger, the combined entity would have 800 employees. The shareholders of Mindlogicx will get 1.25 equity shares of SQL Star for each share they held in Mindlogicx.
