MindTree Ltd, a global IT and Product Engineering Services Company, today announced the launch of an Automatic Traffic Counting and Classification (ATCC) system to conduct a round-the-clock traffic pattern study for single/intermediate/2 lane roads.

MindTree’s ATCC system was designed to address the key challenges faced in the deployment of traditional sensor-based counting and classification systems like portability, accuracy and availability of evidence for audit, a company statement issued here said.

ATCC is a video-based solution that provides high accuracy in real time vehicle counting and classification, operating on a 24x7 basis.

A key differentiator for MindTree’s ATCC system is its capability to classify a vehicle in up to nine different categories. The system captures an image snapshot for every vehicle that is counted and classified, ensuring the integrity of data and reports.

ATCC data collected is tamper proof ensuring that the reports cannot be deleted, modified or altered by any user.

Mr Vinod Deshmukh, President, Technology and Products, Product Engineering Services, MindTree said: “Traffic and transportation infrastructure market is seeing tremendous investment and expansion.

Our ATCC system will help this industry implement state-of-the-art solutions to automate business process and make informed decisions’’.

MindTree’s ATCC system was deployed by Scott Wilson Pvt Ltd and funded by Asian Development Bank for Karnataka State Highway Improvement Project on Karnataka’s State Highway 35.
