Mindtree has launched a new cloud based technology to simplify waste management and intends to help garbage pickers turn into entrepreneurs and improve their livelihood.
The initiative called ‘I Got Garbage’ (IGG) will partner with social businesses and intends to make garbage picking into an organised sector. IGG will offer ERP to social businesses and build a marketplace for waste pickers wherein they can organise themselves into franchises.
