Handset maker Karbonn aims to clock a revenue of ₹8,000 crore in 2014-15, growing close to 80 per cent, as it expands its smartphone portfolio. Karbonn expects to close the current fiscal with ₹4,500 crore in revenues.
Karbonn plans to spend ₹300 crore on marketing and sales and ₹400 crore on R&D during the next fiscal, Managing Director Pardeep Jain said.
It today launched three smartphones, based on the Android KitKat operating system and hexa and octa-core processors, in partnership with mobile chipmaker MediaTek.
The three phones — Titanium Hexa, Titanium Octane and Titanium Octane Plus — are priced at ₹16,990, ₹14,490 and ₹17,990, respectively.
