Google will launch two new products — Chromecast and Nexus 6 — at the Great Online Shopping Festival (GOSF) that is set to start on Wednesday.

The Chromecast, which allows users to stream contents from their phones, tablets or laptops on to TVs, would be available on snapdeal.com and select Airtel stores at a price of ₹2,999, Google said in a statement.

Further, Google-Motorola Nexus 6, priced at ₹43,999 for the 32GB and ₹48,999 for the 64GB version, will also be available starting Wednesday on the Google Playstore, the company said.

The GOSF will see over 400 partners offering their products on discount for three days till Friday.

New sections

Google is launching some new sections at the GOSF this year, such as exclusive launches and one for first-time buyers.

The exclusive launches section would feature products in a wide range, including tech products and fashion labels.

Several technology, fashion and other brands would be available on the shopping festival at discount.

Lenovo is also set to launch the YOGA Tablet 2 Pro at the GOSF.

First-time partners

Rajan Anandan, Managing Director, Google India, said many first-time partners such as Big Bazaar, Lakme, Van Heusen and Asian Paints have also joined the GOSF this year.

“In the last few weeks, over 5 million users have visited the GOSF site and we are hopeful that many first time buyers will find exciting offers,” Anandan said.

Interestingly, not just fashion and technology products, but even real estate would be sold online at the GOSF this year.
