LeEco (formerly Letv) has claimed that it has sold 70,000 Le 1S phones in just two seconds in its maiden Flipkart flash sale.
Talking to BusinessLine, Atul Jain, COO, LeEco, India, said this was because of the high-end specs of Le 1S at an affordable price of Rs. 10,999.
The high-end Le Max which will be launched on February 16, will not have a flash sale, said Atul Jain.
He said the reason for the phone selling out in just two seconds was the features such as fast charging - 3.5 hours of talk-time with just 5 minutes of charging - that was not available in phones at this price range. Apart from the screwless, unibody design, LeEco had also tied up for content with several providers including Eros International and YuppTV.
