Mojo Networks, which delivers Wi-Fi to many of the world’s leading financial institution, will come up with the highly secure cloud to accelerate India’s mega Wi-Fi initiatives.

The company, which has its headquarters in Mountain View, CA was founded in 2003 by Pravin Bhagwat and Kiran Deshpande in Pune. Mojo Networks provides Wi-Fi to several financial institutions, top brands and highest levels of government.

Pravin Bhagwat, Co-founder and CTO, Mojo Networks, said: “We at Mojo Networks are revolutionising Wi-Fi through the power of the cloud and open standards. We liberate networks from proprietary hardware and utilise the power of machine learning and AI to deliver cognitive capabilities for troubleshooting and analytics.”

He added, “By splitting data and management planes, Mojo WiFi is a self-driving network that is remarkably simple to deploy and operate and reliable at a massive scale. Mojo Networks’ innovations empower IT with better user experiences, more options, and more velocity, all at much lower costs.”

National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE), a graduate School for Industrial Engineering and Management in Mumbai, embarked upon a programme to provide Wi-Fi across the campus for students and faculty. Right now, 75 per cent of NITIE campus has been covered with Mojo WiFi and the team is launching next phase to cover the entire campus.

Karuna Jain, Director of NITIE, said: “Mojo’s cloud-based WiFi solution has met our requirements well, especially robustness, capacity, security and heavy duty usage of WiFi by students and the excellent support provided by Mojo team.”
