Mritunjay Singh is Persistent Systems joint COO

Persistent Systems, a software products and technology services provider, has appointed Mritunjay Singh as its joint Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Singh, who would be based in Pune, will work alongside with the company’s Executive Director and COO Nitin Kulkarni.

Singh joins Persistent Systems from Infosys, where he was the delivery head for the financial services and insurance application development and maintenance unit and the head of Infosys Pune development centre.

With a bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communications from IIT BHU, Varanasi, Singh led the Hinjawadi Industry Association in Pune for many years as its President, working very closely with the State and local government to bring about systemic development to the high-tech area.

“Persistent Systems has ambitious plans… His experience of leading very large teams and managing exponential growth will be valuable as we scale our business. His experience in financial services industry and working with enterprises is important considering that these areas are new growing areas for Persistent,” said Persistent Systems Chairman and Managing Director Anand Deshpande.
