Sistema Shyam Teleservices (SSTL), which operates under MTS brand, on Tuesday announced expansion in the Maharashtra and Goa circle.
“We are immensely proud to expand the MBlaze network to eight more towns extending our reach to 26 towns across Maharashtra and Goa circle,” MTS India’s Chief Operating Officer for Maharashtra and Goa Circle Mr Sandeep Marwaha said in a statement.
SSTL has expanded in eight towns - Khopoli, Lonavala, Baramati, Beed, Mahad, Ratnagiri, Satara and Karad.
“This latest expansion is in sync with our endeavour to make MBlaze, our high speed mobile broadband service available to maximum number of customers in the shortest possible time,” Mr Marwaha said.
MTS has introduced a daily usage plan, providing unlimited data usage for one day for Rs 96 and unlimited data usage with 30 day validity with Unlimited MBlazer packs starting at Rs 798, the statement said.
SSTL is one of the companies whose licence has been impacted by Supreme Court Judgement for cancelling 122 2G licences. However, the company has expressed its intention to stay in the country and bid for spectrum in the auction that is to be held by the government.
MTS in India has secured over 15 million wireless subscribers and under the MBlaze brand provides mobile broadband services to over 1.5 million customers in over 300 cities across the country, the statement said.
The company employs over 3,500 employees, operates through a universe of over 300,000 retailers and has made investments of over $3.1 billion, it added.
