Nasscom Foundation has received grants worth Rs 50 crore for the 2017 financial year.
Addressing the media, Ganesh Natarajan, Chairman of the foundation, said that it had spent Rs 10 crore by the end of the 2016 financial year and this grant will help in digital literacy, employability based skills development, inclusion of people with disabilities, and providing hardware and software support to support NGOs.
Further, eleven projects in India were awarded for social innovations. Ten of these projects will receive funding from MphasiS, NSIF Partners and Genpact.
