The National Association of Software and Services Companies (Nasscom) is leading a delegation of IT companies to Latin America from May 26 to May 31.
The countries in the region are on a transformational path, offering scope for spending on technology.
Quoting IDC, Nasscom put the IT market in Latin America at $124 billion in 2012 and projected to grow to $166 billion by 2016.
The trip would cover Mexico and Columbia. “Mexico is a key player for the Indian IT-BPO players with its proximity to the US and with Spanish-speaking population. Mexico has the second-largest information technology (IT) market in Latin America, after Brazil,” Nasscom said.
“The objective of the trip is to give Indian companies an exposure to the LATAM IT and communications environment and provide networking opportunities,” it said.
