Broadcasting major New Delhi Television Ltd (NDTV) today said it has registered a consolidated net profit of Rs 14.87 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2012.
The company had reported a net loss of Rs 6.05 crore in the corresponding period last year, NDTV said in a statement.
“Profit in this quarter is a result of gains from digitisation and internal cost controls,” it added.
Total income from operations has increased 2.77 per cent to Rs 130.11 crore in the reported quarter from Rs 126.60 crore in the October-December 2011 quarter.
On standalone basis, the company registered a net profit of Rs 2.30 crore in the third quarter of FY13 as against a net loss of Rs 2.39 crore in the corresponding period last year.
Total income from operations on standalone basis stood at Rs 96.77 crore in the quarter under review, while the same stood at Rs 101.76 crore in the October-December 2011 quarter.
