Nokia India on Tuesday unveiled the “Nokia Music Theatre,” a platform for nurturing musical talent at the grassroots. Conceptualised in partnership with “The Peninsula Studios,” Nokia Music Theatre was piloted in Rajasthan in 2010 where 17 artistes were shortlisted from 700 odd participants. The journey has culminated with the launch of the first music album, “Asha – discovery of the Peninsula.” Launched under the banner of Nokia Music Theatre and published by Universal Music, the album is available for download on the Nokia Music Store. Peninsula Studios will curate music, facilitate content creation and mentor talent, providing them with opportunity to meet other artistes. After the Rajasthan edition, Uttar Pradesh will be the next stop for Nokia Music Theatre, which takes off in autumn this year.
