Furniture and home products marketplace Pepperfry.com has launched its eighth studio in the country at Hyderabad and plans to add 10 more during the year, thereby building a strong network of offline experiential stores.

Apart from offline experience, designers in these studios offer complimentary design consultancy services.

Ashish Shah, Chief Operating Officer and Founder, Pepperfry, said: “We have opened this studio for customers to familiarise themselves with our furniture range and get an idea of various finishes and types of furniture available on Pepperfry. Hyderabad is one of our key markets and the launch of the studio is another step towards trust with customers and engage with them to provide a great shopping experience.” While these stores add to their convenience of visiting them and experiencing, they cannot buy any product there. They have to order online, he said.

“Pepperfry has managed to complete three million shipments so far from their warehouses, over the last four years since it was established. While we completed 1,00,000 shipments in October 2014, last year alone we achieved 1.5 million shipments and crossed a business of ₹1,000 crore. We continue to grow at a triple digit rate and expect to sustain,” he said.

“The company had raised about $100 million last year and continues to invest in expansion, branding and logistics and supply chain. The logistics and supply chain, the company has build, is amongst the biggest. We have our own fleet of trucks to facilitate despatches,” he said.
