Persistent Systems has posted a net profit of Rs 44.6 crore during Q2 FY’13 representing a rise of 37.8 per cent on a year-on-year basis.
Revenues stood at $60.05 million, representing a Y-o-Y growth of 16.5 per cent. In rupee terms, the revenues stood at Rs 326.86 crore representing a Y-o-Y growth of 37.2 per cent.
EBIDTA during the quarter was Rs 89 crore, a growth of 96.3 per cent YoY.
For the half-year ended September 30, 2012, revenues stood at $115 million versus $102 million for the half-year ended September 30, 2011, representing a growth of 13.2 per cent.
In rupee terms, the revenues stood at Rs 628 crore against Rs 462 crore, representing a growth of 35.8 per cent.
PAT was Rs 86 crore against Rs 60 crore in the comparable period last year, representing a growth of 43.8 per cent.
Anand Deshpande, Chairman and Managing Director, Persistent Systems, said: “I am delighted with our second quarter results as we begin to see the positive results of our investments in IP, strategic alliances, and key platforms, with IP-led revenues leading the way this quarter.”
Persistent also saw a surge in deals in the media/entertainment industry, specifically in the area of Big Data Analytics, he added.
