Ramco Systems will take its cloud-based OnDemand Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) product to global markets next month.
The product, first launched in 2008, provides solutions to small and medium businesses that cannot afford full fledged ERP solutions and can be scaled up or down depending on the size and growth of the company.
The Ramco group-owned software company focussed only on India in the last couple of years and will now take the product to THE US, Singapore and the West Asia in a few weeks, according to Mr Sundara Raman, Vice-President and Head – Product Development, Ramco Systems.
He, however, declined to comment on the investment the company was making to take the product global.
The company “already has beta customers in place” and will be focusing on medium-size companies first, he said. It will initially focus on companies in the manufacturing and trading verticals for back office and finance operations.
“We are also looking at new areas like customer service, job shop, retail management and dealer management systems,” he added.
Ramco will enter new markets through partners and is in talk with a few companies to finalise the deal, Mr Raman said. Once partnerships are made, the company will allow partners to customise the product to suit local requirements, he said.
“Ramco will open up its development platform for the partners to create compliance requirements,” he said.
The company's OnDemand ERP product is a full-fledged ERP product offered to clients on the cloud or pay per user model.
It is used by over 300 companies in manufacturing, trading and media and pharmaceutical sectors in India today and the product contributes about 5 per cent to the company's revenues.
