Ramco Systems has announced that its aviation suite of application, Ramco Aviation, has gone live with its implementation in Air India.

With this Ramco Aviation will help Air India in maintaining its 125-plus fleet of Boeing and Airbus aircraft.

This includes the latest Boeing 787 Dreamliner. Air India evaluated multiple maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) vendors and chose Ramco as it met all of the airline’s functional requirements.

Post implementation, Air India hopes to increase productivity through optimum user of engineering resources, said Vipin Kumar Sharma, SBU Head, Air India.

As the entire fleet will be maintained on the system, the national carrier will be able to effectively track history of the aircraft and components for faster resolution of defects/snags, he said a press release issued by Ramco Systems.

According to Virender Aggarwal, CEO, today Ramco Aviation suite maintains over 60 leading aircraft models for global customers.
