Reliance Communications posted a 43 per cent drop in its net profit at Rs 252 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, against Rs 446 crore in the same period last year.
Net income declined by 4.5 per cent to Rs 4,792 crore (Rs 5,023 crore).
The net financial charges saw a drop of 18.2 per cent from Rs 279 crore to Rs 228 crore. Total income from operations dropped 1.5 per cent to Rs 5,040 crore from Rs 5,118 crore.
The segment-wise profit before tax dropped 24 per cent to Rs 323 crore (Rs 425 crore).
While the segment-wise revenue frrm the wireless operations increased by 6.2 per cent, its profit before tax fell 22 per cent to Rs 557 crore from Rs 713 crore.
