Open source company Red Hat has announced partnerships with Cisco, Groupware, Intel, Mainline and Synnex for Red Hat Storage, the company’s scale-out software for the management of unstructured data.
The company in a release said that thanks to virtualisation, cloud computing, mobiles and social media, the market opportunity for scale-out storage is expected to cross $18 billion by 2015 at a CAGR of 20 per cent.
“Scale-out storage is now an integral part of mainstream IT, and the partner ecosystem surrounding Red Hat Storage is a big part of our vision to help organizations reduce their storage costs while addressing the massive growth in unstructured data,” said Mr Ranga Rangachari, General Manager - Storage, Red Hat.
