SnapBizz Cloudtech, a Bengaluru-based tech start-up that builds products and services for the retail industry, is targeting to reach out to 1 lakh retail stores in the country in the next 18-24 months.
The firm has installed its IT infrastructure and services in about 2,500 stores, mostly in Maharashtra.
As the country gets ready to embrace the Good and Services Tax, the firm sees good opportunity for its products, as retailers across the country look to buy relevant IT infrastructure to be GST-ready.
“Our products and solutions can instantaneously bring retailers onto the IT platform. They can reach out to consumers and brands online through an app. Retailers need not spend heavily to have the infrastructure and the service. Nor do they need to appoint a person to run the computer,” said Prem Kumar, founder and Chief Executive Officer, Snapbizz Cloudtech.
He said all that retailers need to do was buy a monitor, a barcode-scanner and a printer with the relevant billing and inventory-management software pre-installed.
“We also offer an EMI scheme to those who want to stagger their payments,” he said.
Connected to the Cloud, the retailers need not enter the names of the things they sold. “We have factored in all the possible things they sell and entered them. They can add a few depending on the local needs,” he said.
The firm, which has so far raised about $10 million, including from Ratan Tata, sees no immediate need for another round.
