Reliance Jio Infocomm (RJio), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL), has launched ‘JioInteract’, an Artificial Intelligence-based brand-engagement video platform.
“With RJio’s base of over 186 million subscribers and another 150 million smartphone users, JioInteract is poised to become the largest platform for movie-promotion and brand engagement. Over the next few weeks, RJio will introduce services such as video call centres, video catalogue and virtual showrooms to the forefront redefining customer experience,” RJio said in a statement.
“Such use of AI is a first across the world and will re-position the way brands and customers think of engagement,” it added.
The first of the services to be launched is a ‘Live Video Call’ that features Indian celebrities. The service will enable subscribers to make video call with actor Amitabh Bachchan, who will be also promoting his upcoming comedy-drama film 102 Not Out on the platform, starting on May 4, the company said in a statement.
Partners BookMyShow
Users can ask questions on the film and book movie tickets in real-time for which RJio has roped in BookMyShow as ticketing partner, it added.
The platform has an auto-learning feature that helps improve the answering accuracy.
Positioned as Video Call Bot as a Service, JioInteract intends to use AI and video call technologies for effective brand engagement. Using AI, RJio is also tapping developer ecosystem to create applications such as virtual showrooms, product demonstrations and ordering cart for e-commerce.
