Consumer electronics firm Salora International has inked a distribution pact with telecom equipment firm Alcatel for selling its smartphones.
The tie-up will give Salora distribution and sales rights for Alcatel’s portfolio of four smart phones, Salora International Ltd said in a statement today.
“As part of the agreement Salora will be distributing Alcatel’s smartphones for traditional trade in North and East India and the entire country for modern and online trade,” it added.
The alliance will help make available Alcatel smartphones at all major retail outlets as well as with distributors and sub-distributors through Salora’s supply chain network, the company said.
“Salora International has always allied with brands and companies who have firmly established leadership status in the world for its quality and technology, and today with this tie-up with Alcatel, the company has further strengthened its core competency in distribution,” Salora International CMD Gopal Jiwarajka said.
He added that with the company’s strong network of branches, distribution channels and extensive product knowledge, Salora will help Alcatel establish a strong presence in the country and carve a significant share in the smartphone sector.
Delhi-based Salora International Ltd has a pan-India presence through 26 branch offices and 170 after-sales service centres in 127 cities.
