E-commerce company Snapdeal.com today announced entering into strategic partnership with retail chain Vijay Sales to sell its products through the Web site.
Snapdeal.com will charge commission from Vijay Sales for each product sold through the website.
“With this strategic partnership, the selection available to consumers will expand significantly, while providing them great prices. We look forward to a building long term & meaningful partnership with Vijay Sales,” Snapdeal.com Vice President—Business Development, Tony Navin, said.
Snapdeal.com is looking at monthly sales of Rs 20-30 crore from this tie-up, said Navin.
Commenting on the partnership, Vijay Sales Managing Partner, Nilesh Gupta, said, “In the ever changing market scenario, we at Vijay Sales too want to leverage the power of online retail and our main thrust would be to cater to markets in which our physical stores are not present and at the same time ensure that it enhances our market penetration even in markets where our physical stores are present.
This partnership is in line with Snapdeal’s goal to provide a platform with nationwide reach to large offline retailers in India.
