Facebook has launched a new tool that lets users store links from news feed and Facebook pages for places, events, movies, TV shows, and music to a list where they can view them later.
With ‘Save’, users can indicate that they want to bookmark the content to revisit later. The feature is available for iOS, Android and Web users.
“Every day, people find all sorts of interesting items on Facebook that they don’t have time to explore right away. Now you can save items that you find on Facebook to check out later when you have more time,” Daniel Giambalvo, Software Engineer at Facebook, wrote in in a blog post.
Users can save items like links, places, movies, TV and music. Only they can see the items they save unless they choose to share them with friends.
“You can view the items you saved at any time by going to your saved items in the “More” tab on mobile or by clicking the link on the left hand side of Facebook on the web,” wrote Giambalvo.
The saved items list is organised by category and users can swipe right on each item to share it with their friends or move it into the archive list.
“We’ll sometimes show you reminders of your saved items in News Feed. For example, we might show you links to articles you saved,” Giambalvo wrote.
