The auction of telecom spectrum in 2100 MHz, 1800 MHz, 900 MHz and 800 MHz bands continued on Thursday, bidding amount reaching to ₹1.09 lakh crore with six rounds at the end of day 14.
In total, there has been 86 rounds of biddings, since the auction started on March 4. The bidding will continue on Friday.
“The bidding is taking place in all bands. Brisk bidding was seen on fourteenth day of bidding, with activity requirement set at 100 per cent. There is robust bidding going on in 1800 MHz and 800 MHz bands,” the Department of Telecom (DoT) said.
At the end of 86th round, over 89 per cent of the spectrum has been provisionally allocated to bidders, it added.
