The telecom spectrum auction bids fell again to ₹1.05 lakh crore at the end of day 17 on Monday with seven rounds of bidding taking place at the end of the day.
The auction of spectrum in 2100 MHz, 1800 MHz, 900 MHz and 800 MHz bands have been taking place since March 4, with 104 rounds of bidding taken place till now.
“The bidding is taking place in all bands. Brisk bidding was seen on seventeenth day of bidding, with activity requirement set at 100 per cent. There is robust bidding going on in 900 MHz and 800 MHz bands,” Department of Telecom (DoT) said.
At the end of 104th round, about 88 per cent of the spectrum has been provisionally allocated to bidders, it said adding that majority of service areas are going at a premium over reserve price.
The competitive bidding is expected to continue. There is still spectrum, which is yet to be sold. Bidding will continue on Tuesday, it added.
