Swipe Technologies, a mobile devices maker has launched an update of its Freedom OS version 1.1.
These set of updates are exclusively for the users of Swipe Elite smartphones and comes with around a dozen customization features. "The difference in a smartphone will come from software and not from hardware going ahead," said Shripal Gandhi, Founder and CEO, Swipe Technologies.
The company pointed out features such as a dial-pad with DIY themes support with which one can now apply different themes to the dialler, change the colour combination as well as the look-and-feel of the dialler and a low resolution filter, which enhances poor quality images, as some of the dozen features built into the phone.
The upgraded Freedom OS is available for the users of Swipe Elite, which will be available exclusively on Flipkart from 25th September.
According to a research by the IAMAI (Internet & Mobile Association of India) and KPMG, India is set to become the third largest smartphone market in the world with 314 million mobile internet users by 2017.
