Tech Mahindra opens new centre in Noida

Information technology (IT) firm Tech Mahindra on Wednesday opened a new delivery and development centre in Noida, Uttar Pradesh.

The company spent Rs 100 crore for the new centre that has a capacity of more than 2,000 work spaces and close to 120 training spaces.

Sixth SEZ

The facility, which has been designed as per global standards, is Tech Mahindra’s sixth special economic zone (SEZ) and tenth joint SEZ with Mahindra Satyam, the company said in a statement filed on the BSE.

“It underscores our commitment to invest and build world-class infrastructure and provide best-of-class delivery to our clients,” Mr Vineet Nayyar, Vice-Chairman, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Tech Mahindra, said.

Tech Mahindra, with 43,500 employees, provides solutions and services to telecommunications industry with a majority stake owned by Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, in partnership with British Telecommunications plc.

The company has implemented more than 16 Greenfield operations globally and has been involved in about eight transformation programmes of incumbent telecom operators.

The new facility was inaugurated by Mr Anand Mahindra, Chairman, Tech Mahindra, in the presence of the Board of Directors and Associates.
